Thanks for connecting this term, either via email/phone or attending a cluster meeting. Hope your PB4L implementation is going well and its great to support each other to help achieve our collective goals for our schools.
My PB4L Team leader - Ashley Schellingerhout and I attended the recent PB4L conference and she has kindly written up some awesome notes and outlines that we will cover today.
It was a great conference and a chance to refill the PB4L passion, I even got to hang with George Sugai !
What is happening with our schools?
BBI - Celebration at assembly level, teachers attended with students - what values look like and how we do them? Great way to show effective practice to whole school.
KI - Staff meeting slot, Leanne (PB4L Coach - did a session on Restorative Practice), as we have new staff. Senior teachers are year 8 teachers who are getting some new tools through the RP Kete, do a schedule send through email - of ideas through the google drive. Theory and Practice together to help staff buy in.
WI - Daily check in's for staff - every Monday morning and we do a staff check in. We struggled a little bit at the start as we had new staff so we had to support them. We have some Tier 2 students and if we bring it back to staff meetings. Morning/lunch time check in again before the students go to school. We present the focus and also we ask about who needs to extra support. We had to relaunch the house system - whole school had to buy in.
