Reminder about upcoming Cluster forums and last Cluster meeting for the year!

Dear School-Wide schools, we, your School-Wide Practitioners, feel the need to gather you together and offer you an opportunity to meet as a wider Auckland group to share stories, exchange ideas, troubleshoot and to be updated with some nifty tricks that have been added to the PB4L SW arsenal since you have trained.

As we have undergone staffing changes we appreciate that many of you may have felt a gap in personal contact with a Ministry person even though our Sector Coaches have been doing a wonderful job of keeping your networks open and operating.
We would hope that your attendance at one of our “forums” might also result in us taking the opportunity to plan together and identify the details of our support to you and your implementation in 2018 and beyond.

Also don't forget, that we are finishing our cluster meetings together at Wesley Intermediate School as we could not confirm Waiheke Island on time. Would love to see you all there and hope that you can make. Feel free to stick around after for lunch and end of year break up as a cluster.

Workshop 1 Term 1 2017 - PB4L booster

Welcome all to the PB4L Booster Presentation

My name is Lou Reddy and I am the Deputy Principal at Wesley Intermediate School. I hope that I can support your team today by providing a booster for the 7 essential features.  I really believe in the Growth Mindset (Carol Dweck) and I think that PB4L is all about having a growth mindset about students, staff and our families. The mindset we need to have is that we are all trying to understand a new way to approach the learning of positive behaviour and we have to start somewhere. Its like when we have to learn our timestables, some people are a little further along in their 8 times than I am (its the one I struggle with the most for some reason).

Change around PB4L within our schools can often seem like trying to eat an elephant - and what is the best way to eat an elephant?

You guessed it "one bite at a time".

Please refer to this blog for the presentation Slides and other useful resources that I will share today.
